He is especially interested in aiding the tracking and research on snowy owls—stunningly beautiful white owls with bright yellow eyes and bristly feather-covered beaks.

My cats have taught me much about love. An incident with my cat Pandy became a poignant lesson and rich demonstration of the give and take of divine love. He showed me that animals are Souls with their own unique missions and agreements with God.

On a quiet morning I drove to my office on Victoria Island, a large and sophisticated urban area in Lagos near beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Although there initially weren’t many cars on the road, traffic started to build up as the result of a malfunctioning stoplight. This meant I had to sit alone in my car while waiting to move forward. But I wasn’t alone for long.

At ten years old, I went with my family to our local humane society in Oakville, a suburb of Toronto, Canada, to find our first family pet. Looking from cage to cage, I stopped before one that held Sam, a six-year-old, gray, male tabby cat with yellow-green eyes. He was large, slightly rotund, and older than most of the other cats in the shelter.
